Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs with slight imperfections

Product code: 2016

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.  Colours (left to right) are seafoam green, navy, light ochre and black (charcoal).  Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with walnut bases.

The contemporary version of this chair (manufactured by Vitra) is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original stamp.  Mounted on new walnut dowel bases (these chairs can alternatively be supplied on oak or maple bases, if you would prefer).

These are seconds, all having slight imperfections so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard vintage chairs we sell.  Nonetheless, they are perfectly usable and sound and are priced accordingly.

The navy, light ochre and charcoal shells all have slight discolouration and the seafoam shell has a very small cosmetic crack on the side.  Please see photographs for details.

The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired.  Please message us in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
