Eames Herman Miller Lounger and Ottoman 670 / 671

Absolutely beautiful 70s black leather and rosewood Eames 670 /671 lounge chair and ottoman, designed by Charles and Ray Eames.  Date stamped 1974.

The Eameses originally designed the set as a gift for their friend, the director, Billy Wilder (Some Like It Hot, Sunset Blvd.).   

In great vintage condition - it has some wear, as to be expected of a chair of this age, but in overall very good condition.  There are a couple of very faint scratches on the back at the top of the back rest, as shown in the photos, but no chips and the leather is in lovely condition.

The metal base is in good vintage condition - some scratches and scuffs commensurate with age but nothing noticeable.

Overall the chair is in very good vintage condition.

A highly collectable, modern classic.  The definitive lounge chair.
