Vintage Ercol Studio Couch - blonde and grey

Refurbished vintage Ercol 355 Studio Couch/sofa bed.

Inspired by Scandinavian design, the Studio Couch was designed by Lucian Ercolani in 1958 and manufactured by Ercol in the 1960s/70s. 

This is the much sought after blonde (beech) model.

The cushions have been reupholstered in a grey wool. They are removable and the back can be folded down to create a sofa bed. This piece is in good vintage condition. The frame is solid and sturdy. There are a few scuffs, scratches and marks commensurate with age but nothing which is too noticeable.  The webbing on the seat is brand new Pirelli webbing.  The foam cushion pads are all new as well and comply with all new fire standards and the upholstery is brand new.
