Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs in grey, greige, parchment and green with imperfections

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.   Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with wooden bases. Colours (left to right) are: light greige, elephant hide grey, dark olive, parchment.

The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original Herman Miller stamp.  Mounted on dowel bases.

These are grade B seconds with very slight flaws to the shells so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard chairs we sell. Nonetheless, they are perfectly useable and sound and are priced accordingly.

Please see photos for specific details as to condition. In particular:

Dark olive - discolouration to seat.

Light greige - rough edge wear to both sides of the front.

Elephant hide grey - very fibery slightly rough to the touch but no cracks or repairs, fine to sit on.

Parchment- small crack on the front and side which has been repaired.

They are all structurally sound.

The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired. Please message us in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
