Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs in midcentury colours with slight imperfections

Product code: 2480

ORIGINAL PRICE £1600 NOW £999

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.   Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with walnut bases.  Colours (left to right) are: orange, kelly green, lemon yellow and elephant grey.

The contemporary version of this chair (manufactured by Vitra) is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original Herman Miller stamp.  Mounted on new walnut dowel bases (these chairs can alternatively be supplied on oak or maple bases, if you would prefer).

These are grade B seconds with slight flaws to the shells, all having slight discolouration so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard chairs we sell.  Nonetheless, they are perfectly useable and sound and are priced accordingly.

Please see photos for specific details as to condition; the elepahnt grey, ornage and kelly green shells have a very small crack which has been glued, the lemon yellow just has some slight discolouration on the seat.

The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired.  Please message us in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
