Gorgeous 1960s Ax Chair by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard for Fritz Hansen of Denmark. Designed in 1947 using revolutionary techniques at the time. This version of the chair was manufactured in the 1960s. The seat and armrests are constructed from a single piece of bent beech wood with the armrests bending forwards and the seat backwards. The chair has been upholstered in its original black leather.
Makers mark stamped underneath.
In an overall very good condition with just a couple of small scuffs here and there to the frame and seat in keeping with its age but nothing noticable.
