Eames Herman Miller DSR side chairs on Eiffel base in brights red / blue / kelly green / yellow

Set of 4 DSR side chairs designed by Charles Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.  Colours (left to right in first image) are red, canary yellow, kelly green and bright blue.  Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with new zinc Eiffel bases with black rubber gliders.  

The contemporary version of this chair (manufactured by Vitra) is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original Herman Miller stamp.  These can also be supplied  on new, high quality walnut dowel bases or maple bases, if you would prefer.

In very good overall condition, with just a couple of very small scuffs here and there to the edges of the shells, in keeping with their age, but nothing noticeable.

A stunning set of chairs - a totally classic, very collectable set.
