Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs in greys with imperfections

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.   Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with walnut bases. Colours (left to right) are: elephant hide grey, dark tone (charcoal), parchment and brown.

The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original Herman Miller stamp.  Mounted on new walnut dowel bases.

These are grade B seconds with slight flaws to the shells so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard chairs we sell. Nonetheless, they are perfectly useable and sound and are priced accordingly.

Dark tone - small crack on the side which has been repaired.

Parchment - has a filled in chip on the side.

Brown - small crack on the side which has been repaired.

Elephant hide grey - has a filled in chip on the side.

They are all structurally sound.

The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired. Please message us in this case and we will let you have a shipping quote.
