Set of four Eames DSW dowel based side chairs made by Herman Miller dating from the late 50s/early 60s.

With original coloured fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with new walnut bases.

Original Herman Miller stamps on all shells.

The iconic DSW ("Dining height Side chair Wood") was designed by Charles and Ray Eames and was the first industrially produced fibreglass chair.

We infinitely prefer the original fibreglass shells to the modern polypropylene versions, as the patina is so lovely and they wear so nicely.

In overall very good condition with just a couple of very small scuffs and marks here and there in keeping with their age but nothing noticeable. 

A stunning set of chairs - total classic, very collectable set which will accent any setting.  Functional, comfortable, beautiful and endlessly enduring.

The seats and bases will be dismantled for safer shipping but can be bought fully assembled if so desired - please email us and we will let you have a shipping quote.

If you prefer oak or maple (lighter coloured) bases please let as know as we have stock of these and they can easily be changed.
