Eames Herman Miller DSW side chairs in seafoam, elephant, parchment and brown with imperfections

Set of 4 DSW side chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames and made by Herman Miller in the late 50s/early 60s.   Original fibreglass shells mounted on shockmounts with walnut bases. Colours (left to right) are: seafoam green, elephant hide grey, parchment and brown.

The contemporary version of this chair (manufactured by Vitra) is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age beautifully.

All with original Herman Miller stamp.  Mounted on new walnut dowel bases (these chairs can alternatively be supplied on oak or maple bases, if you would prefer).

These are grade B/C seconds with slight flaws to the shells so that they don't meet the grade of the high standard chairs we sell. Nonetheless, they are perfectly useable and sound and are priced accordingly.

Please see photos for specific details as to condition: seafoam green and elephant hide grey have very small cosmetic cracks on the sides which have been repaired. The parchment chair has a stress line down the right hand side, again, cosmetic. The brown chair has a small spot of discolouration on the seat.

They are all structurally sound.
