Vintage Ercol Studio Couch - blonde and blue

Refurbished vintage Ercol 355 Studio Couch/sofa bed.

Inspired by Scandinavian design, the Studio Couch was designed by Lucian Ercolani in 1958 and manufactured by Ercol in the 1960s/70s. 

This is the blonde (beech) model.

The cushions have been reupholstered in an midnight blue woven fabric. They are removable and the back can be folded down to create a sofa bed. This piece is in good vintage condition. The frame is solid and sturdy. There are a few scuffs, scratches, spots of filler and marks commensurate with age but nothing which is too noticeable.  The webbing on the seat is brand new Pirelli webbing.  The upholstery is brand new.
