Vintage White Bertoia side chair

Original white Bertoia Side Chair designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll in the 1950s with original orange seat pad.  

As Knoll say: "Innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, Harry Bertoia's side chair's delicate filigree appearance bellies its strength and durability".

As Bertoia said: "If you look at these chairs, they are mainly made of air, like sculpture. Space passes right through them."

Brilliant.

Welded steel with rods of chrome polish paint. In good vintage condition. There has been a repair on the bracket that attaches to the seat but this is in keeping and does not affect the functioning of the chair. The original seat pad is worn but useable, with some damage to the corner. The chair can be used with or without it.  

76 cm H x54 cm Wx54 cm D.

The chair will be sent disassembled for safety.
