Small 1950s Staverton bookcase

Lovely vintage bookcase designed and made in the UK by Staverton (Dartington, South Devon). In the middle of the last century, Staverton manufactured furniture ranges for the Crown Suppliers and this developed into contracts for Crown Court Buildings and London hotels.

The bookcase is made of oak. It has 3 compartments with up and over glass fronted doors, each compartment divided into 3 sections. It has a lock but no key currently.

In good clean vintage condition. Some evidence of wear, commensurate with age, including a chip on the top corner (pictured) but otherwise nothing major.
